Description: This layer was created by using information from California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and Cal Fires FRAP open data sites. APU Wildfire threat zones were created by following the steps below. Extend the APU Tier 3 contours to encompass the entire Cal Fire “Very High” zone. Do not shrink any portion of the Tier 3 zone regardless of Cal Fire identification of the area as less than “Very High”Extend the APU Tier 2 contours to encompass the existing CPUC tier 2 plus any “High” identified areas by the Cal Fire Map. Do not change any existing Tier 2 area to an elevated Tier 1 due to Cal Fire identification of “Moderate”. Keep this area designated as Tier 2.The APU Tier 1 Elevated should encompass the “Moderate” zone identified from Cal Fire that lies outside the CPUC Tier 3 and Tier 2 area plus any previously identified Tier 1 elevated zone on APU’s existing Fire Threat map.
